At St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Schools (STAR Catholic Schools), we have faith in your child’s future. This is witnessed by the more than 3,200 students in our nine traditional schools and one Outreach School. Our schools are located in Beaumont, Drayton Valley, Leduc, Lacombe, Ponoka and Wetaskiwin and we offer a wide range of options that go beyond core programming. Our dedicated and caring team of teachers and support staff give students every opportunity to achieve their potential in a caring, safe and Christ-centred environment.
If you are not already a member of the STAR Catholic Schools family, we invite you to explore our school division and schools online or by calling any of the schools directly for an information package and tour.
Celebrate the Year of Faith
The Year of Faith began on October 11, 2012 and will end on November 24, 2013, the Solemnity of Christ the King. Pope Benedict XVI has called for this special year as an invitation to “an authentic and renewed conversion to the Lord, the one Saviour of the world” (Apostolic Letter, Porta Fidei, 6). He hopes it will inspire in all believers, “the aspiration to profess the faith in fullness and with renewed conviction, with confidence and hope.
The Pope has clarified the meaning and purpose of the Year of Faith in the Apostolic Letter, Porta Fidei, published on October 11, 2011. For more information, you can visit the Year of Faith website.
