Board Audit Committee Position
The Board of Trustees of St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Separate School Division (STAR) is seeking one community member with business acumen to serve as a public member on the Board’s Audit Committee for a two-year term effective November 1, 2024, for up to 2 consecutive terms.The Audit Committee reports to the Board of Trustees and comprises of at least five (5) individuals and shall include two (2) public members of the community who are not trustees.
The purpose of the committee is to enhance the expertise of the Board related to financial matters, including the review of the annual financial statements. The committee will meet at least twice per year, plus ad-hoc meetings, as required. Public members will be compensated for their time on the Audit Committee at the current trustee honorarium per diem rate and any incidental costs per Board policy.
