School Councils
At STAR Catholic Schools, we are very supportive of parental involvement through School Councils and encourage parents to join theirs.

The Alberta School Councils’ Association (ASCA) is the provincial association School Councils.
Fundraising Societies
Some of our schools have Fundraising Societies. These are formal groups of people under the Societies Act who raise additional money and support for their school. A Fundraising Society is a different than the School Council.
A Fundraising Societies Handbook has been created to assist with creating a fundraising society and to provide resources to help with fundraising projects.
