Modernization announced for Father Lacombe Catholic School
PostedLacombe — St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Schools is excited by the announcement of a modernization of Father Lacombe Catholic School by the Government of Alberta.
The Kindergarten to Grade 9 school in Lacombe, AB was built in 1958, and a need for a modernization was determined through a recent value scoping process with Alberta Infrastructure, Alberta Education, school and Division officials and the community.
“This is tremendous news. Father Lacombe is a phenomenal school of staff, students and parents, but the facility is in need of this modernization to better serve the community,” said Michelle Lamer, Board Chair.
STAR Catholic has been working closely with Alberta Education and Alberta Infrastructure on the need for the modernization.
“I want to thank Alberta Education and Alberta Infrastructure for their thoroughness and keen attention to our school throughout this process,” said Dr. Troy Davies, Superintendent. “Additionally, a great deal of thanks is deserved to our community and parents who support Father Lacombe Catholic School. The announcement today ensures that our students and families in Lacombe will continue to receive high-quality Catholic education in a school that truly fits their educational needs for years to come.”
