Member at Large Wanted

STAR Catholic School Division is looking for one (1) member at large to sit on the Audit Committee. 

The Audit Committee is a Committee of the Board of Trustees and consists of Trustees and two members at large. 

The Audit Committee assists the Board in fulfilling its oversight responsibility for reliable financial reporting, effective internal controls, and compliance with legislation and regulatory requirements.

Audit Committee meetings are expected to consist of two half-day commitments, with the potential for additional meetings.

The preferred candidate will be a strong supporter of Catholic education and have experience with and knowledge of financial reporting procedures and internal controls. An accounting designation is preferred. Compensation is provided in accordance with Board Policy 7, Appendix B – Trustee Honoraria and Expense Schedule. Members at large are required to adhere to the Code of Conduct/Honorariums – Public Committee Members (Policy 8 – Appendix B).
