April 30th: National Toonies for Tuition Day!
Posted
April 30th marks the annual National Toonies for Tuition Day, an initiative by the Canadian Catholic School Trustees' Association (CCSTA) aimed at supporting Catholic education across Canada. Join Catholic education supporters from across Canada on April 30th to help make Catholic education a possibility for every Canadian family.
What is Toonies for Tuition?
Toonies for Tuition is a campaign established by the CCSTA to assist students in provinces with limited or no public funding for Catholic schools. While provinces like Alberta benefit from full public funding, many others do not, leaving families to bear the full cost of tuition. This initiative helps bridge that financial gap, ensuring that all children, regardless of their location, have access to Catholic education.
Why April 30th?
April 30th is the feast day of St. Marie of the Incarnation, a pioneer in Canadian Catholic education. By aligning Toonies for Tuition Day with her feast day, we honor her legacy and seek her intercession in our efforts to support Catholic schooling nationwide.
How Can You Help?
A simple donation of a toonie ($2) can make a significant difference. With collective contributions, we can alleviate the financial burden on families seeking Catholic education for their children. To participate, please consider making a donation through the official CCSTA donation page.
