Celebrating Catholic Education Sunday

This year, we celebrate Catholic Education Sunday on November 3. It is a day to give thanks to God for the gift of publicly-funded Catholic education. It is also an opportunity to recognize the role Catholic schools play in the lives of students, their families, and communities as a whole.

The Bishops of Alberta and the Northwest Territories have shared a written message for Catholic Education Sunday outlining the part we play in supporting and strengthening Catholic education. The letter is available in both English and French. You are also encouraged to unite with us in praying the Novena for Catholic Education, also available in both English and French. Archbishop Richard Smith has also released a video message for Catholic Education Sunday, which you can watch below.
