We are thrilled to announce that St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic School Division has officially received planning funding approval for a brand-new high school in Beaumont. This milestone marks a significant step forward in our commitment to providing top-tier educational facilities for our students, as well as addressing the needs of the growing Beaumont community. With the planning funds now approved, we are one step closer to offering an advanced learning environment designed to support the academic, extracurricular, and social development of our students.
This new high school will be built on a joint site with Black Gold School Division, further fostering collaboration and unity between the two divisions to better serve the students of Beaumont.
“We are so excited to see this project moving forward,” said Board Chair, Donna Tugwood. “This new high school will not only enhance the educational experience for students in Beaumont but will also help foster a stronger sense of community as we continue to grow and evolve.”
Liz Taylor-Sirois, Trustee for Beaumont, also expressed her enthusiasm: “This is a momentous day for the families of Beaumont. This new high school will provide the opportunities our students deserve, and we look forward to the positive impact it will have on the entire community. We thank God for this wonderful achievement and look forward to completing this project.”
In his statement today regarding the High School Funding, the Mayor of Beaumont– Mayor Bill Daneluik says, “We’ve been working closely with the St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic and Black Gold school divisions to move new high school space for Beaumont to the top of the list for the provincial government. Our combined efforts are now paying off. Council made a new school site one of our priorities.”
We invite the community to stay tuned for more updates on this exciting project. We will be working diligently to ensure that the new high school will be a place where excellence in Catholic education is celebrated, and where future leaders are shaped.
