STAR Catholic Celebrates Edith’s Community Spirit and Dedication

At STAR Catholic School Division, we celebrate the incredible impact our staff have not only in our schools but also in their communities. Today, we are proud to recognize Edith, a dedicated member of our STAR Catholic family, for her outstanding contributions to the @beaumont_ab community through the Good Neighbour Program.

Edith’s commitment to building strong, connected, and welcoming spaces extends far beyond the walls of our schools. Alongside her husband, Mike, she has spent the past eight years bringing neighbours together through an annual block party, complete with live music and a sense of belonging that makes their street feel like home. Their garage—affectionately known as “Mike’s Bar and Grill” has become a gathering place where neighbours cheer on their favorite teams and foster lifelong friendships.

Her generosity doesn’t stop there. Edith and Mike host an annual corn roast, share homemade salsa with the neighbourhood, and are always the first to lend a helping hand. Whether organizing a care package for a neighbour in need or finding creative ways to keep the community connected, even during COVID. Edith embodies the very spirit of service and compassion that we value at STAR Catholic.

Edith’s dedication to building relationships, serving others, and leading with kindness is an inspiration to all. We are honored to have her as part of our STAR Catholic family and grateful for the light she brings to both our schools and our community.
